How To Write A Humor Diary

How to write a humor diary

I spent a long time researching how to make a humor diary. But no matter how hard I searched, I could not find anything. There was a lot of theory, but I did not know where to start. There were no examples anywhere. So I decided to start with my own notebook and start dealing with my emotions in my own way. The experience was so positive that today I will share it with you.

You can write a humor diary by writing down your feelings just the way you feel them. However, emotions tend to be disorganized and make it so that this can be chaotic, which is not helpful. Personally, I am a visual person and I like visual aids. This helps me to use just the right amount of words, to be concise and not go around porridge.

You can write every day if you need to. Or just write when you feel the need. The important thing to remember is that your humor diary is not just for negative emotions such as anger, frustration and anxiety.

It is also for positive emotions such as happiness, euphoria and joy. This will help you get to know yourself on a deeper level. It will give you a good start in the beautiful process of achieving emotional intelligence.

Procedure for writing a humor diary

To write a humor diary, the first step is to obtain a notebook dedicated to this purpose alone. That way, you do not have your notes scattered around in different places. When they are all in one place, you can go back to your humor diary when you need it and analyze it from a different perspective.

Once you have a notebook, it’s time to start. When writing, you should be calm, alone and not in a hurry. That way, it becomes easier to connect with your emotions and listen to what they have to say to you.

One of the ways to write a humor diary is as follows : draw four columns with four titles. The titles should be situation , emotion , response and suggestions . Let’s take a look:

Situation Emotion Response Suggestion
Speak in public Fear

Anxiety

Escape Finding confidence in myself

Reaffirm my confidence

This is an example of how a person can react to a particular situation. In this case, the situation is to speak publicly. The person explains step by step what they feel, what feelings they have, how they react, and what suggestions they have for resolving the situation. As you can see, this is a simple, clear and concise way to handle your mood.

Dealing with your emotions is good for you

Writing in a humor diary consistently will help you understand yourself better. You will be able to identify the problem areas in your life and notice which emotions arise most often. Is it fear, or perhaps uncertainty? Being aware of it will help you come up with suggestions so you can put them into practice and not just let them lie.
