Truth Triumphs By Itself, Lies Need Help
We have all been through situations that we were not quite sure how to get out of. The truth is that each path has its own degree of difficulty, especially when it is you who got yourself to that point.
Lying sometimes seems like the best answer, because it is the simplest in the short term. Lying, however, is like entering an alley that has many detours but no exit. And most likely we will end up getting lost in it.
Lies betray others and ourselves
While lying about a certain aspect of our lives may seem like the most appealing thing at some point, putting truth first is always what would make us feel more relaxed in the long run. Whether we are ashamed of something, or because we are aware that we have messed it up, the best thing is to be honest with others. Because otherwise we will also betray ourselves .
We are not perfect, and therefore we have the right to make mistakes. But it has been proven that lies condemn, while the truth holds itself up. In this sense, you must be consistent with your actions, accept what you have done wrong and therefore walk in the shoes of the people we have wronged.
Telling the truth can be painful at first, but in the long run it will help us, as well as the people we have influenced, to appreciate our efforts. And this will also help us to respect and forgive ourselves.
Lies are holes that are full of abysses
When we are honest, our surroundings stand on their own. We are aware of the positive and negative things between us. People who distance themselves from our world do so because they somehow do not fit into it. And that means we were not meant to share it. This means that we are somehow not compatible.
It can be difficult to face the fact that some people do not feel attracted to the things we can offer them. Yet it makes us realize that those who stay with us appreciate us for who we really are. And is that not reason enough to be proud of ourselves?
Mark Twain said “If you tell the truth, you do not remember anything” . And it is true that being honest is the best medicine for being relaxed and feeling good about life. On the contrary, our daily lives would be a constant burden to sustain facades, in one way or another.
In the long run, truth is the easiest way
Nothing compares to the satisfaction of telling the truth. It may have been tough at first, and you may have been criticized for what you did. But the peace the truth hurts is not comparable to the mirage that a lie can create. Being honest with others helps us to mature and value ourselves as human beings. To be honest, the brave thing is to do.
Thus, while it may seem more complicated to accept at first, it is the best decision you can make. In the long run, it will make the journey much easier than lying wild. Liars just want to feed themselves to wrap everything around them into themselves.
The trust that others have in us can be regained if we surround ourselves with the truth, because its basis is much stronger than that of a lie. If we do our best to be honest and sincere with others, we will also be honest with ourselves. Therefore, others will also appreciate us for it.
Be honest with yourself and others. Always choose to do what you want others to do for and against you. That way, it will be much easier for them to answer us in the same way.
